IEM Sydney: Complexity and FaZe advance to playoffs

FaZe is on a roll at the CS2 IEM Sydney tournament. After eliminating Vitality and NAVI, it was GamerLegion's turn. As a result, the team that came from the lower bracket managed to advance to the playoffs this Wednesday. EliGE's Complexity defeated Cloud9 and will also play at the CS2 Arena. ENCE and BetBoom will play in the quarterfinals this Friday, while G2 and MOUZ guaranteed spots in the semis. The final will be on Sunday with a US$100 thousand prize to the champion, in addition to a place at IEM Katowice.

It was not an easy game for MOUZ against Russian team BetBoom for a place at the semis. They won Mirage in a double OT by 19 to 15, lost on Ancient by 13 to 7 and guaranteed the win in Overpass by 13 to 10. Adam "torzi" ended the game with an ace.

In the other fight for the place in the semi, ENCE faced G2. second and third in the ranking, respectively. It was a replay of IEM Cologne's final that also turned out to favor G2. In this Wednesday's match, Nikolai "NiKo" won 13-9 on Ancient and 13-8 on Vertigo.
